24 Sep 2004 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-7s

Admin - Bug Fix (Error 340). Discovered under the following conditions:
If a user exited WHOS-IN and had a custom column selected at the time... then:  The Administrator deleted the same custom column... then
The Admin attempted to Modify the Users details...
Error 340 would appear because the modify user screen was trying to display a column which was no longer existing.

16 Sep 2004 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-7r
Admin - Fixed error 383 (text property read only) encountered when modifying a user record after renaming a Group (if the user's last accessed Group was the Group just renamed).

User - Fixed error 3420 encountered when accessing remote databases.

Admin - Added code to remove a field from the database which is not yet in use (DisplayTreeView in the EmployeeSettingsTable).  We inadvertently left this field in the database during the last release, which in turn caused an error (3265 - Item not found in this collection) when adding new users from the Admin program. Fixed.

User - Fixed problem switching between Groups which sometimes caused an intermittent error 3420.

User - Added code to remove a field from the database which is not yet in use (DisplayTreeView in the EmployeeSettingsTable).  We inadvertently left this field in the database during the last release, which in turn caused an error (3265 - Item not found in this collection) when adding new users from the User program. Fixed.

01 Jun 2004 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-7g
User - Re-enabled code to automatically retry connecting to a server database (and display an error message to the user). This solves the potential problem of someone 'losing' their network connection, and WHOS-IN continuously attempting to read the database when it is not accessible - which in turn could (in some cases) cause WHOS-IN to use up to 95% of system resources.

06 May 2004 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-7f
User - Added code to detect a user pressing Function Key 5 (F5). This key now performs a manual 'refresh' (similar to most other Windows Apps).

User - Fixed problem with multiple lists of remote servers linking back to themselves and displaying an invalid serial number error message.

User - Added code to only display the toolbar 'Servers' button when the user is on their 'home' server, and only display the 'Home' button when a user is on a remote database.

Admin - Added code to automatically detect & repair 'Unrecognized database format' errors.

19 Feb 2004 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-7c
User - Fixed bug introduced when adding support for Win98 users MinimizeOnClose[X]. A 'shimmering' effect sometimes appeared when the Group Change screen was displayed, and the user switched out to another application, then back to WHOS-IN (via the TaskBar). When the Group Change screen reappeared, it was impossible to edit details or close the form using the usual buttons.

User - Added code to temporarily disable the SysTray Icon when any screen other than the Main screen is displayed. This prevents an 'Invalid procedure call' error sometimes appearing.

User - Removed the 'Confirm Auto Logout' screen.

User - Removed support for German 'umlaut' characters.

28 Aug 2003 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-6N
User - Added [X] MinimizeOnClose option. This allows you to send WHOS-IN to the TaskBar or System Tray instead of 'closing' down. This has been added at the request of several Administrators whose users have been inadvertently closing WHOS-IN down instead of minimizing it.

User - Added 'Confirm AutoLogOut' screen which is displayed when: Shutting down WHOS-IN - and the AutoLogOut option is enabled.
NOTE: This screen is also in German if your country code is set to 49.
(Minor mods to 6N include positioning & reducing the time out to 5 seconds.)

Admin - Added supporting functions for MinimizeOnClose to the 'New User Defaults', 'Modify User', and various other areas.

User - Modified the database access routine to reduce the number of 'hits' to the server. This has resulted in a drop from 62 hits to just 2 hits when loading WHOS-IN for the first time, and a simple 'refresh' has dropped from 10 hits to 2 hits. This should improve program speed, reduce the load on the server, and slightly reduce Network traffic.

User - Added support for German 'umlaut' characters. e.g. ' ü ' during the Icon creation process. Other non-English characters should also now be available.

User - Group Change screen modifications:
1. The data within individual fields can now be updated.
2. Fields can now be 'erased'.
3. The default users data is no longer reset if the AutoClearComments option is switched on.
4. WHOS-IN no longer 'AutoMinimizes' after returning to the main screen from the Group Change screen. (bug fix).

User - If (immediately after starting WHOS-IN) the ToolBar 'Out' button was pressed, then the ToolBar 'Change' button was pressed, the 'Change' screen was displaying OUT instead of the current status. (now fixed).

1 July 2003 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-5
User - Fixed 2nd instance of error 360/490 which appeared when the 'Name' column was in position 1 (first column).

11 May 2003 - WHOS-IN - Build 2003-4
User - Added Display Photo to Commands Menu.

User - Added checkbox to select which custom fields to update.

User - Fixed problem with Group Change where the first item in custom fields was copied into all fields.

User - Fixed Error 3420 problem when adding new user.

Admin - Added Photo Tab to Modify User screen.

Admin - Fixed error which caused 'Group Managers' to lose their list of managed users when a user was added or removed from a Group.

User - Fixed error which appeared when the 'Name' column was in position 1 (first column).

Admin - Custom Columns added to user display area.

Admin - Custom Columns can be set to 'read-only'.

User - Column 'order' now auto-saved by pressing 'refresh'.

User - The 'Refresh' code has been extensively rewritten to improve the speed, and eliminate potential problems (error 91's) encountered with servers that may be 'slow' in updating their on-board cache. (noticeable around 9am in some offices!)
