WHOS-IN Pro - Admin Help


Add User or Item:



The Add User screen allows you to manually add extra user names into the WHOS-IN database. Generally speaking this is not necessary, as new users are automatically added to the database when they start WHOS-IN for the first time (assuming they have been set up with a log-in script or Icon).


New user ID's should match the users ID in your Network Login Script (if you are using this option), and new user NAMES should be entered in the same format as they appear in your default email system.


If an ITEM is entered, and the first character is a Tilde '~' then this item will be excluded from the 'Everyone' list. This allows you to add items such as Vehicles or Mobile Phones, without them interfering with the display of 'users'. Also, ITEMS don't usually have a Network Logon, so you can enter a Stock Code for the User ID, (because the item is never going to actually 'log in' to WHOS-IN, only be accessed by real 'users').


Examples:
FirstName Lastname   (Greg Hudson)
LastName FirstName (Hudson Greg)
LastName, FirstName (Hudson, Greg)


NOTE: It is important that the name exactly matches their name in your email system because the main WHOS-IN 'User' program will attempt to use (resolve) that name when sending emails.
